Estefania Cenci has been named to Albright College’s inaugural class of 15 Global Scholars. The group of first-year students arrived on campus a day early, and will be housed together in a living learning community throughout their first year, while taking a series of courses together in the fall and spring semesters. Cenci is a graduate of Northeast High School majoring in the alpha program. In January, students will live with a host family in Ecuador for several weeks while learning from Albright faculty about comparative cultures. Future Global Scholars study-away locations include Costa Rica, France, Ghana, Mexico and Spain. ••

Widener University announced that Emily Pitcherello and Emma Schultz were named to the spring 2022 president’s list. The president’s list recognizes students who earned a grade point average of 4.0 in two consecutive semesters of full-time coursework. ••

Albright College welcomed its class of 2026. Local Albrightians are Fabriana Gaillard, a graduate of Abraham Lincoln studying fashion and chemistry; Gianni Chacon-Rodriguez (Lincoln, general education); Carly Marquess (Archbishop Ryan, art and fashion); Robert Holmes (Arts Academy at Benjamin Rush, game and simulation development); Giana Skates-Hughes (First Philadelphia Preparatory, management); Meghan Ryan (Franklin Towne Charter, general education); Sanai Smith (Mathematics, Civics and Sciences Charter, biochemistry), Deborah Choute (Multicultural Academy Charter, fashion); Estefania Cenci (Northeast High, game and simulation development and computer science); and Tatyana Boyd (High School for Creative and Performing Arts, biology). ••
